Jesus prays for us to be one with Him just as He is one with the Father. We are also called to be in unity with each other. As individuals there is only one way this can happen and that is through the unifying power of the Holy Spirit. If I have surrendered my life to Jesus, the Holy Spirit lives in me. If you have surrendered your life to Christ the same Holy Spirit lives in you and every other surrendered person on the planet. Through the same Holy Spirit living in each of us we can be one with each other and one with God.
