The temple in Jerusalem was torn down, the arc of the covenant hidden away; all traces of God vanished except for a day. The seventh day Sabbath is God’s temple in time. It cannot be deleted, demolished or destroyed. The only danger to it is that it can be forgotten. This is why the forth commandment starts with the word, REMEMBER.
