The great commission in Matthew 28:19, 20 was given to us for two reasons.

To help us grow our own relationship with God.

To rescue others from the enemy of souls.

As we work hand in hand with our Creator for the salvation of our fellow man we increase faith. There is nothing as wonderful as watching God work in the lives of others, there is nothing more powerful and faith building as watching God be God.
