Jesus is God and is eternal, from everlasting to everlasting, so why is He called the son of God? In 1 Corinthians 15:45-47 Paul calls Jesus the second Adam. Jesus came to earth, became a man and lived the perfect life, He succeeded where Adam failed. In Luke chapter 3 there is a long genealogy of Jesus human ancestors. In verse 23 the genealogy starts with Jesus and in verse 38 it ends, “The son of Enosh, the son of Seth, the son of Adam, the son of God. Jesus has taken Adams place as the Son of God.
