God The Father
Gen. 1:1. The very first verse does not describe or explain God, it simply declares Him. What is your picture of God?
Rev. 4:11. Why is God worthy of honor?
John 3:16. What does this say about God the Father’s love?
1 John 4:8. What does the Bible mean when it says “God is love?”
1 Tim. 1:17. What picture does this verse paint of God?
Exodus. 34:6,7. Which of the attributes of God’s character listed in these verses do you appreciate the most?
John 14:9. From what we know of Jesus, what is the Father like?
God the Father’s love for us is most apparent at the cross. The wages of sin is death. Jesus, the Son of God chose to accept the penalty that we deserve. God Himself had to lay that penalty on His Son. Isaiah 53:6 states “The Lord (God the Father) laid on Him (Jesus Christ) the iniquity of us all.” Can you imagine the pain? Can you fathom the love?
